The Position:
The Programme Analyst, Field Coordination is based at the County level (Zwerdu/Grennville) and embedded within a local government structure or joint United Nations (UN) Hub office in Liberia. They are responsible for the effective implementation and coordination of all UNFPA field programmes with a focus on the geographical area of responsibility.
The position provides technical and coordination support to field partners to ensure a particular focus on improving field focused outcomes within the context of national and sub-national policy and programmes. This position will guide and facilitate the delivery of UNFPA’s programmes at the sub-national level.
You will report to the UNFPA Deputy Representative and work closely with the Country Office Programme and Operations staff with support from the Management Team and work in close collaboration with other field-based UN agencies, the Country Programme Implementing Partners and local authorities.
The position also has direct supervision of a Driver (Field).
Job Purpose:
The Programme Analyst, Field Coordination will provide coordination and technical support to the delivery of all relevant country programme results in the counties of focus.
The Programme Analyst will coordinate the development/scaling up of successful interventions by collaborating with the Country Office (CO) specialists, sub-national government entities, implementing and other partners, UN agencies with field presence, among others to deliver UNFPA supported interventions. They will leverage local resources for acceleration of efforts to achieve the UNFPA transformative results in Liberia.
The position provides technical inputs to improve programme performance at the sub-national level and will maintain partnerships. The position monitors results achieved during implementation, while guiding the appropriate application of relevant systems and procedures.
