The Position:

The Programme Analyst, Reproductive Health Commodity Security (RHCS) Supply Chain plays an important role in supporting the strengthening of  national capacity  efforts to deliver quality reproductive health (RH) and family planning (FP) services, including uninterrupted supplies of products, with particular attention to reaching marginalized populations.

This position ensures that day-to-day RH Commodity supply chain activities take place in a timely manner under the direction of the Technical Specialist SRHR and work in close coordination with government, relevant  United Nations (UN) agencies, INGOs/NGOs and implementing partners.

The position provides technical support to the government and partners in the implementation of UNFPA supplies Partnership, with a focus on value for money and works within a well-established integrated, coordinated, and systems strengthening approach that is fundamental for UNFPA overall strategy. 

The position will report to the Technical Specialist SRHR and work closely with the Country Office Programme and Operations staff with support from the Management Team. The position will work in close collaboration with the West and  Central Africa Regional Office (WCARO), the Commodity Security Branch (CSB), and with the UNFPA  Supply Chain Management Unit based on an approved annual work plan.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the position is to coordinate and oversee  effective and timely implementation of UNFPA’s Supply Chain processes related to Reproductive Health Commodity Security ensuring availability of high-quality reproductive health commodities up to the last mile. 

The position supports the Country Office (CO) in supply chain implementation and  monitors national efforts to strengthen national forecasting/ quantification and implementing remedial action plans from the Last Mile Assurance (LMA) process recommendations.
